Safety & Sterilization
The safety of our clients is of utmost importance at Tatu Tattoo. We ensure that all tattoo and piercing instruments and materials are either thrown away or sterilized in a high-pressure, high-temperature autoclave after each use.
Our piercers use a Statim 2000. This is the most up to date and one of the most effective methods of sterilization being used in our industry. In addition, we regularly and thoroughly disinfect our entire facility with hospital-grade cleaning agents.
Every staff member is trained in proper and safe tattooing and piercing procedure to ensure safety for all of our customers. They are also updated annually on Bloodbourne Pathogen Control, First Aid and CPR.
The sterilization procedures at Tatu Tattoo have been updated as of August 2007. We employed Health Educators, a company of dynamic and knowledgeable people who work and train in our industry. All of our artists were trained in Bloodbourne Pathogens Control and sterilization practices for the body modification industry, thanks to Health Educators.
We have also remodeled our sterilization room. Every surface is stainless steel so not only does it look great, but it is hygienic and easily cleaned . Weekly spore testing is conducted to ensure our autoclaves and STATIM 2000 are efficient.
Technicare and Barricare are used in all our procedures. These are some of the most capable products available to us as professional tattoo artist and piercing artists.
